What better way than with all things APPLE! EscapeMaker.com, New York’s premiere guide to local getaways, day trips and farm escapes, will host its 4th Annual “Applepalooza” presented by the New York Apple Association in conjunction with Fulton Stall Market’s Sunday farmers market at Pier 16 & 17.

This year’s event, “Applepalooza + Craft Wine, Cider and Beverage Fest” will celebrate New York State-grown apples and farm-made apple products including fresh-pressed New York cider, hard cider, pies and cider donuts, as well as local wines from the nearby Shawangunk Wine Trail, and other New York state craft beverages. Wineries like Whitecliff VineyardGlorie Farm WineryPalaia WineryBrotherhood, America's Oldest Winery (established in 1839) and cider and craft beverage makers like Hudson Valley Farmhouse CiderNine Pin CiderDoc's Draft Hard CiderCatskill Distilling CompanyMYSTO MEAD, The Cider Lab, Fishkill FarmsBrooklyn Cider HouseTaconic DistilleryHudson Valley Farmhouse CiderCall Me Caramel and more will be sampling, selling by the bottle, and sharing local knowledge about their spectacular fall harvest destinations and events to prospective visitors. 

Fulton Stall Market’s regular Sunday farmers market on Pier 17 plaza will be in full swing, and Applepalooza attendees can stock up on fall harvest season fruits and vegetables, specialty fruit preserves, baked goods, artisanal sauces, local honey wine, and much more! The South Street Seaport Museum will be on hand with information about the fascinating historic ships docked at Pier 16, museum exhibits and events and guided tours for both first-timers and old-timers rediscovering the Seaport District NYC

This free farmers market event is a family-friendly fall celebration with live music! There will be fresh apples aplenty, apple treats to sample, games and cider donut-eating contests for all ages. Attendees 21 or over will be able to sample and purchase (by the bottle) a wide range of craft beverages from Hudson Valley wineries and other craft beverage producers.

From June 17 - September 4, the shop will feature food and beverage samples from local producers, live music, presentations by local farmers, winemakers and brewmasters and information on local vacations, where to go apple picking and visit a farm.

EscapeMaker.com, NYC’s guide since 2000 to local getaways, opened its first ever pop-up shop dedicated to local farm, winery and brewery getaways from March 31st-April 24th within the historic Fulton Stall Market at the South Street Seaport. We are excited to announce that EscapeMaker will extend its pop up shop through the summer. The shop located inside the Fulton Stall Market on 207A Front Street will be open to the public Thursdays and Fridays (12:00pm-6:00pm) and Saturdays and Sundays (11am-5pm), June 17th through September 4th . Sponsors and exhibitors include Amtrak, Vermont Tourism, Dutchess Tourism, Sullivan County Visitor’s Association, Corning and the Southern Finger Lakes, Westchester Tourism and the Long Island Convention and Visitors Bureau. Visitors can pick up info on farm escapes, apple picking, wine and craft brew trails and local getaway packages to inspire them to start planning their local vacations. Special one-day tasting showcases will run in conjunction with the regular Sunday FSM Farmer’s Market: June 19th, July 24th and August 14th.
